This is my favorite breakfast spot! The staff is friendly and the food is always delicious! My family and I have been coming here for years.

Decent diner food, but you can find equally good, similar food, at many diner chains, like Denny's or IHOP. The place overcharges consistently, and many of the prices are not on the menu. They added $2.50 to my burger for added cheese. The really sad thing is that they are surrounded by better, cheaper restaurants, yet the place was packed. It doesn't help that they have Pepsi as their fountain drink supplier.

This local restaurant welcomes all. The owner was a famous soccer player in India. Entertaining service from John.

Although this place doesn't have a "wow" factor to it, Nancy's Kitchen does not disappoint. It offers a bit overpriced typical diner food, and it mainly caters to the LeisureWorld retirement community. The establishment has old fashion booths, but it's well-kept and clean. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food does not disappoint but it could be better. If you are in the area, too lazy to go further for better food, this is a decent plan B.

Nancy's Kitchen is about the people. Warm, friendly customers and staff that greet you like long lost friends. It's about joy, and a shout-out to John who always has a devilish twinkle in his eye.

I noted the most recent review by Kal and decided to give this place a try for breakfast. Glad I did. Place is cozy. All booths cept 2 were filled and despite the full house, the atmosphere was calm, relaxing, intimate, clean and felt like a regular hangout for the older neighborhood crowd. Several servers were attentive but not obtrusive and kept the coffee flowing. Specials were posted on the white board. I ordered one - the ham sausage tomatoe et al omelet w/ home fries and rye toast. It arrived quickly, was a good sized portion with no skimping of ingredients in the omelet. I didn't care for the home fries, preferring them to be more crispy and seasoned but I did not request that. While there was nothing I could point to as being outstanding, this was a solid but pretty basic no frills breakfast experience for me. I would come again.

I tried Nancy's Kitchen for dinner. There were maybe two or three other people in the restaurant and yes it does have a weird smell. In addition, it is not very inviting, dark and a lot of pink. I ordered the chicken parmesan. What a rip off. Honestly, it consisted of two chicken patties...not even real chicken and overcooked pasta with some marinara on it. To me, that isn't even really cooking. Heat it up and serve it.

I see several poor reviews of this restaurant but they are all dated. None in. 2014. I wonder if there was a change in management because my experience was much different. I live in Connecticut and usually go out for breakfast each morning. I have written over 35 reviews on breakfast restaurants. I was visiting my daughter in Silver Spring, Maryland. and went looking for a restaurant for breakfast. I found Nancy's Kitchen. It was in a small shopping center. Let me start off by telling you I rated this restaurant FOUR STAR. I ate here three times and each time I had a good meal and excellent service. I ordered my usual, an egg white cheese omelet with tomatoes and onions. This omelet came with potatoes and toast. The food was good and plentiful . There was only one waiter ( male) and he had to serve several tables. Yet my order was taken quickly, food was delivered quickly and my coffee cup refilled several times, each time before it was empty. Prices very reasonable. There were several tables with customers and they all seemed to know each other, Just a friendly place with good food, friendly service and reasonable prices. I will be in Silver Spring for a few more days so I expect to have one more breakfast at Nancy's kitchen.. I made a mistake in hitting an additional symbol on price. It might appeared prices are higher that they are. My breakfast was just about $11.00. TRAVEL KAL

Warning: Do not eat here. I saw the bad reviews and thought there was no way it could really be that bad, but it actually was worse. I had an omelette with bacon and sausage, and coffee. The omelette was runny, and the bacon was RANCID. I actually spit it into my napkin. The sausage was a microwaved frozen patty that was soggy and cold in the middle. Even the coffee was terrible! It tasted like it was brewed in a construction worker's work boot. (How do you screw up coffee?) I usually appreciate breakfast food even if it's mediocre, but this "food" was terrible. They couldn't serve this in prisons because it would be inhumane. I have had better breakfasts in Army chow tents during field exercises. I am surprised the health department hasn't shut this place down. You are better off going to 7-11 and getting one of those hotdogs that sit on that roaster wheel all day.

I'm extremely wary of the restaurants in this strip mall, since they tend to cater to the Leisure World crowd. I live super close though, so I've got to atleast give them a shot. Anyway, we tried this place for a weekend brunch. We walk in and we're definitely the youngest people in there, by about a half a century. We scooted our way around all the rascals and walkers, and made our way to a table. The menu is pretty standard breakfast/diner fare...however I couldn't seem to muster up an appetite as I looked it over. I don't know if it was the place, or just the clientele, but it smelled like an explosion of Vicks vapo-rub and embalming fluid. Ok...that might be a little extreme, but it did smell...and not good. Anyway, we ended up eating our "standard" breakfast and walked away from the experience very unsatisfied. As a whole, everything was very under-seasoned and bland...I'm learning that is how the leisure world folks like it though.

Went here with my grandmother and 70 year-old father. They live in Leisure World so it was just a convenient place to go. Let me just say-- it was an odd experience. They play really creepy 1930's music, it's filled with sad looking old people, and the food is just as sad. I got the steak and cheese, and it tasted like hospital food. You might have a more exciting dining experience if you head on over to MGH to eat instead. Most of my visit I was afraid that someone was going to die in there...especially since the place smelled as though somebody already did. Don't go in here unless you're over the age of 65. I feel bad writing this review because I know old people love this joint, but it had to be done.

We had breakfast here for the first time today. It's a small restaurant in a strip center near Leisure World. Menu is pretty typical diner breakfast items. Everyone enjoyed the food but it wasn't amazing. Just typical of what you would expect. We would certainly go back again. The wait staff was very attentive to everyone who was dining.
